Prosthetic Gods front coverIn 2007, Rane Arroyo of New Sins Press saw fit to publish my chapbook, Prosthetic Gods, for release at the 2008 AWP Conference in New York. This was a huge deal to me, as I’d never had a gig in New York, let alone a book release. Rane used Prosthetic Gods to introduce his new imprint, Winged City Chapbooks.

Unfortunately, Rane passed, and Prosthetic Gods was not on his widower’s mind. He sold Winged City Chapbooks to a a group of people who were genuinely unaware of Prosthetic Gods, and surprised to receive a copy with “Winged City Chapbooks” printed on it. We agreed that the rights to Prosthetic Gods should return to me, and I self-published it with a new ISBN, but no other changes.

Prosthetic Gods has jacket copy from authors Vernon Frazer and Louise Landes Levi, and Professor Ezra Cappell of the University of Texas at El Paso. I think it’s a pretty good book! I mean, I think it is. I don’t really want to read it again. But Su Zi gave it a glowing review in 2022, so it must hold up reasonably well.

This book can be easily found and purchased at various online bookstores.
